Do certain songs bring you back to a place in your past? There have been numerous studies to support the fact that music can evoke powerful images reminiscent of another time and place.
By combining music and maps, I have created ready to hang compositions which combine a particular song or artist with a place.
The music is generally a vintage 45 rpm record which is "floated"
above a companion map creating a dimensional piece.
On the back of each framed shadowbox is a history of the song or interesting fact regarding the artist.
